Giving Sight Day - October 3, 2020
Dr. Swanson will be offering free vision exams for people in need on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Complete Eye Care on Cache Road in Lawton, Oklahoma. We are giving back to our community as part of the “Giving Sight Day” - a statewide event organized by the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP).
Patients will be given free vision exams on a first come, first serve basis, until 1:00 PM. Complete Eye Care will also be offering free eye glasses with lenses courtesy of Essilor Labs. Free eye glasses are only available on October 3rd, 2020, to those who have also had their exam performed by Dr. Swanson this same day.
Annual Braille Book Drive
Complete Eye Care is proud to coordinate a Braille Book Drive for students at the Oklahoma School for the Blind. Just $10 buys a braille book of their choice for a student. This event typically starts in November and ends after Christmas. You can donate at any three of our locations. You are able to receive a receipt for your donation from the Oklahoma School for the Blind by filling out additional information on your donation envelope. Cash and checks are accepted forms of payment and once sealed, will go directly to the school. Thanks for your help in giving the gift of reading!
In 2019, our Braille Book Drive provided 78 braille books to students at the Oklahoma School for the Blind!
Complete Eye Care's LOOK Program
As a team and family, we are actively looking for those in need and those that need a hand. The program is simple: as a staff, we keep our eyes open for anyone in our community that is in need of.. anything! We raise money for those identified in a given amount of time, and then present the donation or service however needed. Yes, it is a very broad program but our community is diverse. No one person needs the same as the next, but we are here to help.
The CEC Look Program was established in December of 2019. The program has already provided assistance to three individuals!
"This experience has been the most humbling experience I have ever had in my life, and this was probably the proudest moment I have had working for CEC." ~ Tiffany S.
